Securosys and OmniTrust Partner to Deliver Hardware-Backed, Post-Quantum-Ready PKI

Written by Martina Alig | Sep 15, 2026

Zurich, Switzerland / Ashburn/VA, United States of America, 14 September 2026 – Securosys and OmniTrust today announced a jointly validated integration of OmniTrust PKI with Securosys Primus CyberVault Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and Securosys CloudHSM. The combined solution enables organizations to modernize and automate their Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) while keeping certificate authority (CA) keys and other critical cryptographic assets protected within a high-assurance HSM environment.

Modern PKI without compromising key protection

As PKI environments expand across cloud platforms, applications, devices, and modern DevOps infrastructures, organizations need to manage growing numbers of certificates without compromising the security of the private keys at the foundation of digital trust. At the same time, traditional PKI environments can be difficult to scale and automate, while regulated and security-sensitive deployments require strong key protection, auditability, and operational resilience.

The integration addresses these challenges by bringing together OmniTrust’s cloud-native, API-first PKI platform and certificate lifecycle automation with hardware-backed key protection from Securosys. Through the industry-standard PKCS#11 interface, OmniTrust PKI can use Securosys-protected keys for critical PKI operations while private key material remains protected within the HSM environment. Organizations can choose between on-premises Primus CyberVault HSMs, Securosys CloudHSM, or a hybrid deployment model without changing the OmniTrust PKI integration approach.

“Modernizing PKI should not mean compromising the protection of the keys on which digital trust ultimately depends,” said Robert Rogenmoser, CEO of Securosys. “Together with OmniTrust, we enable organizations to combine modern PKI automation with hardware-backed key protection and the flexibility to deploy on premises or in the cloud. This provides a strong cryptographic foundation for today’s PKI requirements while supporting organizations to securely navigate the ongoing transition to post-quantum cryptography.”

Building a foundation for the post-quantum transition

Beyond securing today’s PKI environments, the integration also helps organizations prepare their cryptographic infrastructure for future requirements. Securosys Primus CyberVault HSMs provide native support for classical and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, allowing OmniTrust PKI deployments to build on the same HSM integration as organizations evolve towards post-quantum trust models.

“As machine identities and certificate volumes grow, organizations need a more sustainable way to manage the trust behind them,” said David Sequino, Co-Founder & CEO of OmniTrust. “By combining OmniTrust’s certificate lifecycle automation with Securosys hardware-backed key protection, we are helping customers reduce reliance on manual processes while maintaining control over critical cryptographic assets. That combination is increasingly important as PKI environments grow in both scale and complexity.”

Supporting modern enterprise PKI environments

The combined solution supports modern enterprise private PKI, automated certificate lifecycle management, machine identity and workload certificate management, cloud-native and Kubernetes environments, as well as regulated and high-assurance deployments.
